Recently, the first 3D printed smart public toilet in Luzhou, Sichuan Province has been formally put into use, and multiple central media such as Xinhua News Agency and CCTV Finance Channel have reported on it. SpaceDicon Technologies Company, a subsidiary of MSTN, participated in the construction of the smart public toilet using its construction 3D printing technology. The innovative design and technological application of this smart public toilet demonstrate advanced concepts for future public facility construction. By combining 3D printing technology for building concrete, modular assembly technology for steel structures, and digital media technology, it has not only achieved significant advantages in construction efficiency and environmental impact, but also expanded the traditional functions of public toilets, making them a modern facility that combines practicality and information display.

At the beginning of the project, due to the undulating terrain and towering ancient trees around the Chunyu Road public toilet, as well as the narrow site, it seemed like a subtle competition between nature and urban construction, which brought unprecedented challenges to the renovation of the public toilet. Faced with such a difficult problem, SpaceDicon actively participated in researching the feasibility of the renovation plan and ultimately adopted the honeycomb shaped smart public toilet scheme after comprehensive consideration. The honeycomb shaped smart public toilet achieves efficient utilization and rational layout of urban micro spaces.

SpaceDicon as the main contractor of this honeycomb shaped smart public toilet, utilized robot 3D printing intelligent manufacturing technology during the construction process. Through intelligent robot arms and the use of low-carbon and environmentally friendly substrates such as industrial solid waste as printing composite materials, the building modules were prefabricated and printed into shape, and then transported, lifted and landed as a whole. This is the first application case in China that combines 3D printing technology for building concrete, steel structure assembly manufacturing technology, and digital media technology.

SpaceDicon has completed the construction project of the Honeycomb Smart Public Toilet using independently developed construction 3D printing robots, which is not only the demonstration of advanced 3D printing technology of SpaceDicon, achieving the goals of green, low-carbon, environmentally friendly, and efficient, but also spreads a new construction concept, making more people know about the charm of construction 3D printing.
